HISTORY: A
graduate of the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, Patty Hanson was
an intern to the renowned designer Milton Glaser. Patty experienced a great deal
of success at a relatively young age, having assisted publishing industry giants
in their move from conventional publishing to desktop publishing, and having brought
a publishing giant to the Internet for first time. As
a working mother, Patty found it difficult to satisfy the corporate world's
demand for her time. Ms. Hanson took a chance and in 1996, Patty launched her
design firm from a small Manhattan office. She was able to quickly gain a loyal
customer base, drawing on her background in publishing, and her career as an art
director.
Many of LaDue Design's clients come from the publishing industry, specifically
from the travel, government, corporate management, sales and marketing, and technology
sectors. Patty
returned to Saugerties, NY, and together with her husband, is raising their three
children in the small town atmosphere she had grown to love during her own childhood.
The firm is now located in the Saugerties, a historic town located 100 miles north
of New York City, in the Mid-Hudson Valley's Catskill mountains. LaDue
employs a team of designers and programmers from a boutique-style studio, in a
store front among the many antique and specialty shops in the Village of Saugerties.
While maintaining many of its original clients from NYC, LaDue also provides graphic
design and web development services to local businesses. | |
